To mark 60 years of the Queen's reign the Diamond Jubilee will take place this year. The celebrations will centre around an extended weekend on 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th June. Aswell as having the bank holiday on the 4th of June, we also have the 5th June off thanks to Queenie wooo!!
The Queen came to the throne on 6th, February 1952 and her coronation took place on the 2nd, June 1953. She celebrated her Silver Jubilee (25 years) in 1977 and her Golden Jubilee (50 years) in 2002. The Royal family have traveled around the UK, also visited my city, Leicester! It was a exciting day at work even if we only did see the car, that the Queen and Kate was in, drive past our office! I know my drawing doesn't look much like the Queen but at least i tried!
IT DOES LOOK LIKE THE QUEEN!
ReplyDeleteapart from the face everything else looks like her haha
DeleteI was in NYC a few years back when Prince Harry visited. I took a video of him and didn't realize how very short he is. He sure drew a big crowd!
