I took this photo of a rickshaw in India 2007 in my mum's village; Gosal in Punjab. I love the colourful background with the graffiti Punjabi writing ( I have no idea what it says, maybe I should ask my mum). Rickshaws are a very popular transport over there but it can be scary and uncomfortable sitting in one as the traffic and the way they drive/cycle can be pretty scary, so just hold on!
That's a teensy seat for passengers! I think I'd probably fall out!
ReplyDeletelol yeh it is! I had to hold on for my dear life!
ReplyDeleteHey Mandy, loving the graffiti background wall! I went to India a few years ago and wished I'd had time to go on a rickshaw or tuk tuk, it looks great fun.
ReplyDeleteHey! Where bouts did you go and what did you think of it? It is a bit like sitting in a fairground ride lol
DeleteI love trying new modes of transportation, it would be fun to give this one a go just for the sake of saying 'I did it'. It would be even more fun to be the driver, although for how hectic I've seen India is, maybe some place less chaotic.
ReplyDeleteHave fun with a-z.
yeah I don't think I could drive in my mums city, very chaotic! Thanks for dropping by :)
DeleteMy adopted sister was born in New Delhi, and recently went back to visit her family. With all the traveling I have done, India is a place I have not seen. One of these years. . . Happy A to Z!
